Scalefast announces its $8 million Series A Funding round, led by Benhamou Global Ventures, with participation from Adara Ventures, B&Y, French Partners and CIC Capital. Scalefast plans to focus heavily on strengthening its Client Success team and introducing new products to help customers establish deeper 1:1 relationships with their own customers, in turn, fueling online retention and revenue growth.
“eCommerce, at scale, is not easy to do well” said Eric Buatois, General Partner at BGV. “Brands need to work with an innovative, reliable partner who can scale and deliver the data and analytics needed to establish a powerful connection with the consumer so the brand can focus on branding, marketing and product positioning. We are thrilled to be partnering with such a talented and committed team.”
During the year leading to the $8 million Series A Funding round, we have been working closely with Scalefast on its access to funding.
During the first phase, our team opened its network of mentors, investors and funding experts to foster the business plan, strengthen the investor deck and pitch, and design a custom fundraising plan. Sylvia Gallusser, former General Manager at French Tech Hub and now Founding Partner at big bang factory has been leading the project: “Working on a pitch goes much further than storytelling, this is really about story building! About creating the perfect story directly connected to the company’s DNA and the CEO’s long-term ambitions – a story that will resonate with the right investors and make sure everybody is aligned for collective success”.
In a second phase, we launched an “investor roadshow” – a series of meetings with qualified investors according to the defined target. Scalefast CEO Nicolas Stehle appreciated the team’s strategic advice all along the process: “In addition to the quality of the introductions made by Sylvia and Xavier, I truly enjoyed the ongoing interactions with the team and with our dedicated advisor. Not only has Sylvia an extensive knowledge of the VC landscape, but she also constantly pushed me to revisit Scalefast’s story and refine our strategy through a mix of challenging remarks and mirroring effect.”
This announcement comes on the heels of a banner year for Scalefast in 2017, marked by significant milestones including launching dedicated direct-to-consumer shopping experiences for over 20 major product launches, and exceeding 14 million orders processed, serving consumers in over 130 countries. Scalefast also doubled its team and was recognized with multiple awards including the Best in Biz gold award for Enterprise Service of the Year and the Digiworld Award.
Sylvia is very enthusiastic about the Scalefast adventure: “It was incredibly exciting to follow Scalefast exponential development all year long, and to work closely with the executive team as well as with the sales and marketing teams. They’ve gained so much in maturity in a only few months and are on the road to success. Stay tuned!”
