AVATAR MEDICAL wins three awards at Laval Virtual Europe 2022

AVATAR MEDICAL won the ReVolution #Startups International Award while DIVA, the technology powering AVATAR MEDICAL, was awarded the VR/AR Healthcare Award and the Grand Prix. Paris-based, AVATAR MEDICAL, a spin-off of the Institut Pasteur and Institut Curie, has developed a Medical Image VR platform that aims at facilitating the preparation of complex surgeries.

Laval Virtual is the one of the world’s leading virtual and augmented reality exhibition that brings together XR enthusiasts from all over the world. The international XR community exchanges the newest trends, identifies interesting businesses, and better understands the industrial stakes of immersive technology throughout the course of this three-day event.

The ReVolution competition seeks out the most inventive and forward-thinking firms that are transforming the immersive field with virtual and augmented reality.

With these wins, AVATAR MEDICAL is recognized for its technical prowess in immersive visualization, further justifying its mission to radically improve how surgeons access, interpret and act upon medical images.

AVATAR MEDICAL is currently a Research Use Only device. The full commercial deployment of the regulatory approved (FDA and CE) version of the software platform is expected in 2022.
